Liverpool could look to rival the likes of Arsenal and Bayern Munich for the signing of Valencia youngster Paco Alcacer, FootballDirectNews.com understands.
The Reds are on the lookout for a new striker this summer, as Brendan Rodgers seeks to add further depth to his front-line as doubts grow over the future of the likes of Iago Aspas and Fabio Borini. Alcacer looks an outstanding prospect, with the 20-year-old managing 9 goals and 3 assists this season despite being eased into the Valencia first-team.
His fine form has already seen him attract interest from Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Juventus, and Liverpool will now hope to enter the running for his signature as Rodgers seeks to add further talented youngsters to his ever-improving squad.
The Merseyside giants are also considering a number of other options, including a bid for former Arsenal reject Carlos Vela, who has been another star of this La Liga season for Real Sociedad.
