The agent of Argentine striker Luciano Vietto, Jorge Cyterszpiler, has claimed that Liverpool and Real Madrid hold a “serious interest” in his client. Vietto, an Argentina Under-20 international, has made 48 appearances for Racing Club de Avellaneda in his homeland, scoring 15 goals.
The youngster was handed his debut by current Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone in 2011 and his performances have alerted a number of top clubs around Europe. As well as Liverpool and Real Madrid, Napoli boss Rafael Benitez is known to be a keen admirer of Vietto while there is also interest in the 20-year-old from Germany.

Speaking to Radio La Red, Cyterszpiler said: “Luciano is playing at a very good level and that has made several teams get interested in him and some others keep an eye on him. Real Madrid and Liverpool have shown a serious interest, and we already know that exists since last year from Napoli. In addition to that, there are some requests from Germany.

“While he has been capped at youth level by Argentina, Vietto could also represent Italy through holding a dual passport and was also linked with Fulham and Tottenham during the January transfer window.
