Spartak Moscow midfielder Romulo Borges has admitted that he would love to join FC Barcelona if the opportunity should arise. The Brazilian has been attracting interest from a number of European clubs, especially Arsenal and Liverpool who have been linked with the defensive midfielder since last January. Since the sale of Thiago Alcantara to Bayern Munich last summer, Barcelona have been searching for alternatives to fill the gap left by the young Spaniard and Romulo is one of them. The 23-year-old said that no official contact has been made by any club but admitted that the speculation was flattering.“They are only rumours, nobody has said anything to me. But yes, I am happy that they link me to Bara. It’s a great club and all players want to play there,” Romulo told Esports en XarxaHe went on to confess that he would be up for a move to the Catalan giants, saying, “Of course I would like to play for Bara, who wouldn’t?”Read more Arsenal transfer news.
