Former England striker Gary Lineker has labelled Jose Mourinho as “very special” after Chelsea’s 2-0 win at Liverpool. Chelsea came away 2-0 winners at Anfield on Sunday as the gap at the top of the table close to just two points, while Manchester City are six points behind Liverpool with two games in hand and a superior goal difference. It ended a run of 11 straight league wins for Liverpool and puts the title in Man City’s hands as they prepare to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park straight after Chelsea’s big win on Merseyside. Mourinho, however, did not set up his side to attack Brendan Rodgers’ side, with defensive tactics used throughout the 90 minutes with Chelsea taking advantage of mistakes from the Liverpool side. Following the game, Lineker wrote on his Twitter account that Mourinho, who is nicknamed ‘The Special One’ is “very special”. He wrote: “Not sure anyone has ever said this, but Mourinho is very special!”Read more Chelsea transfer news.
