It has been claimed today that the Ivory Coast international has rejected the offer of a new contract at the Stadio Olimpico, putting possible suitors Manchester United on alert going into this summer’s transfer window.
However, it seems that Italian champions Juventus could also be interested in making a move for the 26-year-old, who had an impressive first season in Serie A, scoring nine goals and laying on ten assists for his team-mates as they finished runners-up to the Turin giants.
Although Juve are also looking into a number of other new signings on the flanks, including United winger Nani, Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez, and Angel Di Maria of Real Madrid, Gervinho’s situation with Roma looks to have put him on their shortlist as well.
