Bayern Munich could offer Chelsea target Mario Mandzukic to Juventus in a bid to sign Arturo Vidal, FootballDirectNews.com understands.
The Bavarian giants are in the market for new signings in midfield this summer, and manager Pep Guardiola appears to be a big fan of Vidal, who has established himself as one of the top players in Serie A in recent seasons, helping Juventus to three title wins in a row.
The Chilean international could be Guardiola’s first choice to replace the likes of Javi Martinez and Toni Kroos, both of whom are being linked with an exit from the Allianz Arena this summer, and another want-away player, Mandzukic, could be offered to Juve as part of an exchange deal.
The Croatian forward is believed to be unsettled by the imminent arrival of Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski, and may also face competition from veteran stiker Claudio Pizarro upfront next season, with the 35-year-old set to be offered a contract extension.

Mandzukic has been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid in recent times, but Juventus are also known to be keen on him as they eye new signings upfront this summer, and a deal that would see him arrive in place of Vidal could be tempting for manager Antonio Conte. Guardiola likes Vidal, and I think he will be happy to sacrifice a player to sign him, a German football insider revealed. “Juventus are also interested in Mandzukic, so it seems a likely deal. “
