Arsenal could face competition from Juventus in the chase for Hoffenheim winger Kevin Volland, FootballDirectNews.com understands.
The German Under-21 international has been one of the most impressive attacking midfield players in the Bundesliga this season and looks likely to be on the move this summer as top clubs start to take notice of his performances. Arsenal were first linked with the 21-year-old back in January, and are now being tipped to renew their interest in the summer, but Juventus are also in the market for a new winger ahead of next season.
The Italian giants have previously been linked with the likes of Paris Saint-German pair Jeremy Menez and Ezequiel Lavezzi, though they may now switch their focus to Volland, who looks an outstanding prospect for the future. Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund have also shown some interest in the talented wide-man in recent months, in what could be an intriguing transfer saga in the upcoming summer window. A European football insider confirmed the interest in Volland, saying: “Juventus and Arsenal are the main teams tracking him, but there could be interest from Liverpool and Dortmund as well. He’s had a terrific season and Hoffenheim will struggle to keep him.
