Manchester United’s Adnan Januzaj has been voted the best player under the age of 20 while Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling was voted fifth. Readers of Italy’s number one sports newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport voted the United youngster top after an impressive breakthrough season. In second place was Chelsea loanee Lucas Piazon who is enjoying a terrific loan spell at Vitesse Arnhem having scored 11 goals in 28 matches for the Eredivisie side. Gerard Deulofeu, who is currently on loan at Everton from FC Barcelona came in third place. The Catalan youngster has put in some impressive displays for Roberto Martinez’s side as they push for a Champions League spot. Fourth place was Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos. The Brazilian was signed from AS Roma for around 25million last summer and has had some fine performances in Europe for the French club, scoring three goals. Raheem Sterling was voted the fifth best under-20 star in the world due to his dazzling displays for Liverpool as the club goes in search of its first Premier League title.
