Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi has responded to rumours about his future and said he wishes to remain with the Serie A club. Claims earlier this year had stated that Inter Milan were keen to sell the former Barcelona youngster after failing to impress alongside Rodrigo Palacio, however, following heavy interest from the likes of Chelsea, the Serie A club thought twice. Ligue 1 side Monaco and Spanish side Atletico Madrid have both been credited with interest since as they both attempt to improve their attacking options, with the latter looking at potential replacements for Diego Costa, who is edging closer to Chelsea. However, Icardi, who has scored eight goals in 19 games this season has reiterated his desire to stay at San Siro. Interviewed by Sky Sport Italia, Icardi said: “Rumours about the future? Want to make my career at Inter, and continue to learn how I am doing.”The 21-year-old Argentine international began his professional career with Sampdoria, before moving to Inter last summer.
