Tottenham Hotspur are confident of landing striker Romelu Lukaku from rivals Chelsea, FootballDirectNews.com can reveal.

Although Lukaku’s representative Chrisophe Henrotay has played down the 20-year-old joining Spurs after admitting talking with chairman Daniel Levy, FDN understands the Belgian will be a priority signing this summer after slipping through their hands last season.
The forward is also wanted by Borussia Dortmund, though, to replace outbound Robert Lewandowski. Levy views Lukaku as the perfect replacement for failed summer signing Roberto Soldado. “They came very close to signing Lukaku last season and are determined to make it happen this time,” a source close to the club said.
Henrotay confirmed the interest but played down the move happening. “I’m not looking for a club for him. Tottenham – Yes, I spoke with Daniel Levy once, but this does not mean that Romelu will go with certainty to Tottenham. We have still not arrived at a conclusion about his future,” he is quoted in TMW as saying. Lukaku is widely expected to be allowed to leave Chelsea this summer despite Jose Mourinho being unhappy with his current options at Stamford Bridge.
