There is a growing number of club’s chasing West Ham United midfielder who is expected to leave the club this summer. The Senegalese midfielder has a reported 3.5 million release clause in his contract at the Boleyn Ground and has in the past iterated his desire to play at the top end of the Premier League. Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle United are all reported to be interested in the player while Everton are also weighing up a bid. The 26-year-old is also wanted in Italy with Inter Milan keen on the player as a replacement for Argentine midfielder Esteban Cambiasso. Diame was used largely as a winger at the Hammers last season as boss Sam Allardyce preferred Kevin Nolan, Matt Taylor and Mark Noble in his midfield three. An often frustrating figure among the fans, Diame is capable of moments of brilliance as well as the less inspiring. He notched four goals for the Hammers last season to help them attain a mid-table finish.
