Pep Guardiola has praised Liverpool for their excellent style of football and is looking forward to their return to the Champions League. The Bayern Munich manager spoke ahead of his side’s Champions League first-leg quarter-final against Manchester United. The former Barcelona boss hailed Liverpool’s performances and admitted that he was happy to see them back in Europe’s top competition.“They [Liverpool] are playing awesome,” he said at today’s press conference at Old Trafford.“I’m glad Liverpool are coming back and will be in the Champions League next season.”Guardiola came through the ranks at Bara through the club’s famed youth academy. Guardiola feels that Liverpool’s production line is one of the best in Europe.“The academy of Liverpool is the only one that can compare to La Masia of FC Barcelona.”Guardiola has guided Bayern to the German league title in his first season in charge with seven games to spare. The Bavarians are currently on a 53-match unbeaten run.
