Galatasaray are the latest club to show an interest in unsettled Manchester United striker Robin van Persie, FootballDirectNews.com understands.
The Turkish giants have managed to lure big names like Didier Drogba and Wesley Sneijder to the club in recent times, and could be prepared to go all out with a big-money offer for the former Arsenal man.
Van Persie has been linked with the likes of Barcelona and Juventus in recent weeks after it has emerged that he is not happy with life at Old Trafford under new manager David Moyes, with the club struggling at present to reach the Premier League’s top four. Galatasaray are currently managed by former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini, who was notably desperate to sign the Dutchman during his time in charge at the Etihad Stadium, and he will seemingly priotitise a move for him again this summer. It remains to be seen if van Persie would choose a move to Turkey over other big clubs, but a lack of Champions League football on offer at United would almost certainly persuade him to leave and try his luck elsewhere.

Mancini wanted him at City and now he’s going to try to bring him to Galatasaray, a United insider revealed. “There’s a lot of money in Turkish football, so who knows? We’re just hoping we can make the top four and then we’re not under any pressure to sell. “
