Former Swansea manager Michael Laudrup has stated that it is every manager’s ambition to manage a top team such as FC Barcelona. The Catalans are currently going through a bad patch following their Champions League quarter-final exit followed by a 1-0 league defeat to Granada on Saturday which has led to much speculation over the future of manager Tata Martino. Local press have been commenting about possible replacements for the Argentine if he is to be releved of his duties at the end of the season, and Laudrup was asked whether he would be interested.“It’s not necessary to enter this (discussion). Everyone would like to manage a great (team) and obviously Barcelona are one of those,” he told Esports en Xarxa. Laudrup knows the club well from his playing days, having won the league title with Bara four seasons in a row from 1990-94 before making a controversial move to arch-rivals Real Madrid.
