Former Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas wants to bring Benfica winger Eduardo Salvio to Russian side Zenit Saint Petersburg. The Argentine winger joined Portuguese side Benfica on a permanent basis in 2012 for a fee of 13.5m and he enjoyed a debut season with the club, scoring 13 goals and assisting 10. However he has since fallen down the pecking order and a summer move has been touted. Whilst interest from a number of clubs continue to be mentioned, Russian club Zenit are extremely interested with new boss Andre Villas-Boas a keen admirer of the 23-year-old, according to O Jogo. Salvio began his career in his native Argentine with Lanus before moving to Spanish side Atletico Madrid where he made 69 appearances, before moving to Benfica.
