Former England striker Gary Lineker has hinted there could be a rift at Man United after Robin van Persie’s outspoken comments following another disastrous performance.  The Red Devils striker criticised his teammates on Dutch television saying his poor form this term was down to other players being in the zones he likes to play, which he finds a “pity”.
Van Persie ballooned a glorious chance over the bar in the 89th minute of last night’s defeat to Olympiakos, which would have given David Moyes’ men a vital away goal. Instead they now need to overturn a two goal loss for the first time in Europe since 1984.  And former Spurs hitman Lineker suggested on Twitter the former Arsenal star’s comments could be damaging.  Things may be heating up. RVP on Dutch TV: ‘Other United players are often in the zones I’d like to play in. I find that a pity.

‘ Blimey!!As well as adding more woe on beleaguered boss Moyes, who has endured a torrid first season in charge, Van Persie’s comments will only add fuel to speculation that he will seek pastures new in the summer and escape his unhappy spell under the former Everton manager.
