Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa has distracted talk of his future and said that he is only thinking about beating Chelsea in the Champions League. Costa’s proposed move to Chelsea has developed in recent weeks, as much as to claim that the Premier League side have agreed terms over a proposed 50m summer transfer.
However, the Brazilian-born Spanish international has distracted questions about his future and instead turned his attentions to the upcoming Champions League semi-final clash that sees Atletico Madrid face his potential new club. Speaking exclusively to FootballDirectNews.com, Costa said: “Of course I am thinking about Chelsea, I am thinking about them all the time. But only how we can beat them. We have a very good chance to win the Champions League are just two games away from the final. They will be two very tough games – but I think we have shown this season that we are capable of beating anybody.

The 25-year-old, who has played an integral part in Diego Simeone’s plans at Estadio Vicente Calderon then spoke about Chelsea in general, before adding that he will think more about his future after the Brazil World Cup. Of course Chelsea are a big club, of course The Premier League is very exciting, but for now there is a big chance that Ateltico can win La Liga and The Champions League. That is my focus now – and anything else can wait until after The World Cup. “Costa has scored an impressive 26 goals in 31 league games this season.
