Former Manchester United defender Danny Higginbotham has criticised Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure’s supposed reasons for considering to leave. It has been reported in the media today that Toure could consider leaving Man City after not feeling that he is given the recognition that he deserves, according to quotes by his agent. Also, Toure’s agent, Dimitri Seluk, claimed that his client was upset that no one at the club wished him a happy birthday and that has played a part in the Ivory Coast international open to the idea of leaving Man City, who he played a major role in winning a second league title in three years. Former Man United defender Higginbotham has had his say on the reports, saying that wanting to leave a club for not celebrating a birthday “is now top of the list” of reasons he has heard. He wrote on his Twitter account: “I’ve heard some bizarre reasons for players possibly wanting to leave a club but for not celebrating their birthday is now top of the list.”Read more Manchester City transfer news.
