After going through to the quarter-finals, Borussia Dortmund’s Nuri Sahin has revealed who he wants to face in the next round of the Champions League. Dortmund lost 1-2 at home to Zenit St. Petersburg but qualified thanks to their 2-4 win in Russia three weeks ago. Star midfielder and former Liverpool loanee Nuri Sahin was thrilled for his side’s achievement and revealed that he wants to face David Moyes’ team in the next round. I’d love to face Manchester United in the next round,” Sahin stated, which led some to assume that it was due to United not being on top form. However the Turkish international stated that playing at Old Trafford was a personal ambition of his, “It’s the one stadium I haven’t played in yet, he told ZDF. Sahin went on to say that he and his teammates will need to up their game but is delighted to have gotten through to the quarter-final stage of the tournament. We are our biggest critics. We’re very ambitious and we’re happy to have reached the last eight.” Dortmund reach last year’s final at Wembley but lost 2-1 to fellow German club Bayern Munich. Read more Liverpool transfer news.
