Lille striker Salomon Kalou has confirmed he has had no contact from Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho regarding a move back to Stamford Bridge but admitted he turned down a move to Arsenal in January. The forward spent six years at Chelsea, winning the Premier League, Champions League, four FA Cups and a League Cup. It is this success that actually prevented Kalou from making a loan move to Arsenal in the January transfer window, as he told Area Magazine playing for a top club “isn’t his priority” having won everything already. And when questioned on whether he had heard anything from Mourinho, he quashed the rumours with a clear “no.”Kalou clearly still has his admirers in the Premier League after proving a reliable squad member in his time at Chelsea, scoring 36 goals in 94 starts for the club. The fact he made a further 62 appearances as a substitute was the main reason behind him leaving and he seems content at Lille.
