Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has questioned the mentality and desire of Tottenham Hotspur’s players.
The ex-Republic of Ireland international picked up on negative body language in the tunnel just minutes before the north London outfit were due to play Liverpool at Anfield, and the visitors were trounced 4-0. In the closing stages travelling fans turned on head coach Tim Sherwood, who finds himself under intense pressure after an insipid perfromance. Cascarino told Sky Sports News: “In the tunnel before kick-off at Anfield, the Spurs players looked like they were waiting for a bus. “You do have some players who are far quieter, who are not going to be emotional and get caught up in the day, but you can’t have all 11 being like that. “You can’t have a whole queue of Tottenham players stood there looking like they are waiting for a bus to arrive. “You expect two or three of them to be motivating each other because you are a team, you work together. ”Watch Barcelona v Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday.
