Former Everton midfielder Tim Cahill has urged his old side to “finish the job” in their final home game of the season. The Toffees entertain title-chasing Manchester City this evening and are still chasing fourth-placed Arsenal in the hope of securing qualification for the Champions League, despite the Gunners being in pole position. Europa League football is the next best prize to fight for and Everton boast an excellent home record against today’s opponents, who have won just once in their last 15 visits. Cahill, who played for the club between 2004 and 2012, scored five goals against City during his time in the Premier League, which came to an end two years ago courtesy of a switch to MLS outfit New York Red Bulls. The Australia international said on Twitter: “Massive game 4 #EFC and one I loved playing in against Man City. Finish the job off and win. We play for the badge and fans #everton #Win.”Read more Chelsea transfer news.
