Manchester City are getting ready to lodge a bid of 20 million to secure the signing of Eliaquim Mangala from FC Porto this summer. According to information in Frichajes. net, the Premier League outfit are willing to pay 20 million to ensure they get the signature of the 23-year-old Frenchman at the end of the season, and it is a fee Porto would happily accept. City were first linked with a move for Mangala back in the January transfer window, when a deadline day double swoop for Mangala and teammate Fernando was reported.
However, the deal came to nothing and City were left without empty handed. City are expected to go back in for Mangala in the summer as they look for a permanent partner for Vincent Kompany at the heart of the defence. They will face competition from city rivals Manchester United for Mangala as they David Moyes looks to replace outbound Nemanja Vidic.

Meanwhile, Fernando’s agent has suggested the Brazilian midfielder will be at an English club next season. Watch Arsenal v Everton, West Ham v Liverpool on Sunday.
