Manchester City are looking to muscle in on Manchester United and Liverpool target Alberto Moreno after their sporting director Txiki Begiristain was spotted scouting him. The Etihad chief was seen in the crowd during the Porto-Sevilla match recently – raising the likelihood of an impending bid. The Spanish defender has been in superb form sparking fevered interest among his suitors, including Spanish giants Real Madrid. Moreno has a release clause of 25m with Sevilla insisting they will not sell for anything less, especially as the player has a contract until 2018. Manuel Pellegrini already has Aleksandar Kolarov and Gael Clicly in his ranks but according to Estadio Deportivo he is not happy at all with the pair and is looking to bolster the left-back position with a new signing. Sevilla sold Alvaro Negredo and Jesus Navas to the Premier League giants last summer and the relationship between both clubs is good. Moreno has been an ever present for Sevilla this season, making 36 appearances in all competitions. more Manchester City transfer news.
