Chelsea have made an enquiry for striker Ezequiel Lavezzi even though his club Paris Saint Germain have offered him a new deal. The Argentine has been a long time target of the Blues with the club missing out on signing him while he was at Napoli. Chelsea have been in discussions with PSG over the transfer of David Luiz and sounded out the availability of Lavezzi during discussions. The striker moved to France in 2012 but Jose Mourinho is a known admirer and wants to bolster his front-line. Atletico Madrid star Diego Costa looks like he will be joining Chelsea after the World Cup but Mourinho wants another top striker as he seeks to rectify this season’s problems. Italian football expert Gianluca Di Marzio claimed PSG have already offered Lavezzi a new deal and are likely to play hard-ball over letting him leave for Chelsea.
