Chelsea defender David Luiz looks increasingly unlikely to join Barcelona after sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta announced his plans on Tuesday. Former Barca and Spain keeper Zubizarreta who now acts as a sporting director for the Catalan side has been presenting his summer transfer plans to president Josep Maria Bartomeu today inside the Camp Nou offices. And, it is understood that Chelsea defender David Luiz was very much the topic of conversation. Luiz has been strongly linked with a move to Barca this season, with some reports claiming that the Brazilian international had agreed terms in principle. However, it is understood that Zubizarreta is not keen on making a move for the 27-year-old and would prefer a more solid defensive option to replace the retiring Carles Puyol. Aswell as talks about Luiz, Barca are also said to have made a decision on several other key transfers, including the possible sale of several high profile players like Cesc Fabregas, Alexis Sanchez and Javier Mascherano.
