Chelsea and Manchester United will face competition from AC Milan for Torino forward Alessio Cerci, according to the Corriere dello Sport. New Milan boss Pippo Inzaghi has set his sights on Cerci but will turn to Juan Iturbe if he cannot land him.  Chelsea are in need of new strikers this summer to address problems from last term after Samuel Eto’o, Demba Ba and Fernando Torres failed to impress. Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho rates Cerci, who scored 13 goals and contributed nine assists last season, and believes he would offer the Blues depth up-front if they do seal the deal for Diego Costa.
The 26-year-old, formerly of Roma and Fiorentina, has caught the eye of several top clubs in recent months, with his playing style compared to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.

Torres and Ba have received interest from clubs in Italy and Turkey respectively and look set to leave the west Londoners this summer. United’s new boss Louis van Gaal is exploring various attacking options as he looks to get the club back among the eilte after an embarrassing season under David Moyes – the club’s worst for nearly three decades.
