Juan Bernat has been attracting interest from Chelsea and Manchester United as both clubs look for new left-backs for next season, but now AC Milan have joined the race. The Italian giants are having an awful campaign as they lie in 12th position of the Serie A standings and are looking to strengthen their squad. Milan scouts were in attendance at Valencia’s derby win over Villarreal at the Mestalla on the weekend to watch young Bernat, according to Superdeporte. David Moyes has been linked with numerous full-backs since he took over at United and it is believed that Bernat is a prime target. Similarly, Chelsea are also on the look out as Ashley Cole looks set to leave Stamford Bridge in the next transfer window. Bernat’s contract is set to expire in June of 2015 and therefore Valencia will be obliged to sell him if they fail to negotiate a new deal this summer in order to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year.
