Manchester United boss David Moyes spoke with Bayern Munich officials over a possible summer move for Toni Kroos on Wednesday night but was told a firm ‘no’ by German officials, FootballDirectNews.com understands.
The Scottish manager was in attendance during Bayern Munich’s visit to the Emirates stadium where they turned out 2-0 winners over Arsenal to all but confirm their place in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Moyes was casting an eye over midfielder Toni Kroos, a player who has been long linked with a potential move to Old Trafford.
However, after speaking to Bayern officials, Moyes did not receive the answer he wanted, FootballDirectNews.com understands. Kroos has suffered this season due to the rotation policy set out by Bayern boss Pep Guardiola and injury has also affected the German international. But patience has worked well and he returned to face Arsenal on Wednesday night, producing a dominant midfield display against Arsene Wenger’s side. Now, Bayern are keen to monitor his performances in the next few weeks but seem certain that they want Kroos to be big part of Guardiola’s reign at the club.
