Juventus’ potential signing of Didier Drogba could see Barcelona make a bid for Fernando Llorente, according to Le10Sport. Reports in the last few days suggest that Juve are the favourites to land former Chelsea star Drogba, who has called time on his spell with Turkish giants Galatasaray to search for what could be one final move to a big club.
The Ivory Coast international has caught the attention of Juventus manager Antonio Conte, and his interest in bringing the veteran centre-forward to Turin could mean the club are open to the idea of letting Llorente leave.
The Spaniard, who only joined the club from Athletic Bilbao last summer, has emerged as a possible contender to solve Barcelona’s problems upfront this summer, with new manager Luis Enrique keen to bring in a traditional centre-forward to add some variety to the team’s attack.
The 29-year-old had a decent return of 18 goals in his first season in Italian football, though it is still thought that Juve may look to move him on as he often struggled for consistency this term. With another signing from last summer, Carlos Tevez, performing so well in his debut season for the club, Drogba’s arrival could mean Llorente’s first-team appearances are limited next year.
