Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan left-back Yuto Nagatomo, according to Infoticker.ch. The Japanese international has been one of Inter’s most impressive performers in recent times, attracting interest from the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid in the last few months. Barcelona now look set to join the chase for the talented 27-year-old, who has scored five goals and laid on six assists from the back this season, showing his attacking prowess as well as defensive abilities. Nagatomo could command a fee of around 11.5million, and Inter may struggle to keep him as they will have to go without Champions League football next season. Barca are not in desperate need for new signings at left-back as they already have Jordi Alba and Adriano to choose from in that position, though the latter has been linked with a move to Liverpool, which could see Nagatomo brought in as a replacement. It could be a long summer for Inter, who will likely face bids for key players such as Fredy Guarin and Ricardo Alvarez as well.
