Barcelona could make a summer bid to bring Juventus striker Fernando Llornte back to La Liga, according to Fichajes. net.
The former Athletic Bilbao man only joined the Italian giants last summer, arriving in Turin on a free transfer, but he has been linked several times with a move away from the club after some mixed performances in Serie A.
The Spanish international ended the campaign with a decent return of 15 goals in all competitions, but it is thought that Juventus would be open to selling the player as they eye some new signings upfront of their own. Barcelona have been linked with a whole host of big names in recent months, with it becoming apparent that the Catalan giants are desperate to bring in a more traditional centre forward to complement the styles of the likes of Lionel Messi and Neymar.
The likes of Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero and Mario Gomez of Fiorentina have both been linked with Barca in recent times, but Llorente has now emerged as another option. It is claimed that the 29-year-old is the preferred choice of Luis Enrique, who left Celta Vigo earlier this week and who is expected to be named as the next Barcelona manager.
