Liverpool’s Luis Suarez was the overriding favourite among Barcelona fans as the club looks to sign a new forward this summer. In a poll conducted on Spanish website, Suarez gained 57% of the vote of selection of forwards the club have been linked to. Barca will be under new management next season with Luis Enrique expected to arrive from Celta Vigo. The first task for the former Barca player will be to add a striker that can operate alongside Neymar and Lionel Messi next season. Suarez may be the favourite among fans but he has moved to dismiss speculation he has a clause in his new contract that will allow him to join either Barca or Real Madrid. The Uruguayan, who is concentrating on the summer World Cup where he will face England in the group stages, said that it is “speculation rather than reality”. Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku finished third in the vote with 11% behind Juventus’ Fernando Llorente (23%). Also on the list of potential new Barca forwards were Fiorentina’s Mario Gomez (6%) and Feyenoord’s Graziano Pelle (3%).
