Atletico Madrid could welcome back Arda Turan from a groin injury ahead of their Champions League semi-final against Chelsea. Turan has missed the last few games with a groin injury but has returned to training for Atletico, with the Turkish international eying a return against Elche in La Liga on Friday. Simeone is expected to adhere to medical advice not to risk the 27-year-old, meaning that Turan is set to make his return against Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea in the Champions League, according to Spanish newspaper Marca. Turan has made 40 appearances in all competitions for Atletico this season, scoring eight goals and assisting six with the Madrid side sitting top of La Liga ahead of both Real Madrid and Barcelona.
