Atletico Madrid have sent an offer to the representative of Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy, who is currently on loan at Newcastle United. The Spanish league leaders are drawing up a list of possible replacements for star striker Diego Costa, who looks set to leave the club in the summer. Atletico have reportedly sent a proposal to the Frenchman’s agent with a package to tempt his player to join the Rojiblancos rather than join Newcastle, according to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague. The 27-year-old has a buyout clause of 10million which would make him a bargain signing for any club looking for a new front man. However, Remy has not yet decided on his future and it will apparently take at least a month before choosing where he will play his football next year. Newcastle are believed to be looking for alternatives to Remy in case a deal does not go through, with Benfica’s Oscar Cardozo being one of them.
