Arsenal will have scouts watching as the Netherlands take on France in a friendly tomorrow night, FootballDirectNews.com understands. Arsene Wenger is keen to keep an eye on two of Holland’s most promising young players, who should play some part in this international fixture as they look to work their way into Louis van Gaal’s World Cup squad for the tournament in Brazil this summer.
The players in question are two Feyenoord midfielders, Jordy Clasie and Jean-Paul Boetius, who have both caught the eye in the Eredivisie this season, and will now hope to take their form to international level. Clasie, 22, has been linked with top clubs before, and is the more senior of the two players with six full caps already to his name. Boetius, however, is hoping to make his first appearance for his national team.
The 19-year-old is a skillful left-winger, who has weighed in with eight goals and seven assists for Feyenoord this season, and could provide the Gunners with something a little different on the flanks.
There’s been a lot of talk about two Feyenoord players, Clasie and Boetius, who should feature for Holland tomorrow night, an Arsenal source revealed. “Wenger will have scouts at the game and if they impress I would imagine they’re up there with our top targets for the summer. “
