Calhanoglu has been one of the revelations of the Bundesliga season and is a highly-wanted quantity both in Germany and abroad. Arsenal have been tracking the starlet this campaign while German champions Bayern Munich were also said to be interested but it seems as though Leverkusen have stolen a march on the player as they look to wrap up the deal as early as possible. Despite only recently extending his deal until 2018, Calhanoglu looks intent on leaving and has agreed personal terms with Leverkusen, according to Sky Deutschland. However, they will face a fight to agree a fee with Hamburg who are determined to keep hold of their key asset. The youngster, despite Hamburg’s disappointing season which saw them narrowly avoid relegation, has managed to score 11 league goals and make four assists for his side in 33 matches.
