The prospect of Manchester United striker Robin van Persie making a return to Arsenal continues to become more of a reality and bookmakers have responded accordingly. Reports emanating from Italy on Friday suggested that van Persie’s agent Kees Vos met Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger at the end of January.googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(“div-gpt-ad-1389116196215-0”); });Van Persie has recently been linked with a move back to his old club as rumours suggest that the Dutchman is struggling to work with new United boss David Moyes. According to Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri, Moyes would not stand in the way of the Dutchman leaving. Last week bookmakers had van Persie priced at 10/3 for a return to the Emirates Stadium in the summer, but have further narrowed the price to 7/3. Wenger is keen to add another striker in the summer and has been linked with a number of targets. The return of van Persie would certainly be against a traditional Wenger signing given that he rarely opts for someone in their 30s, especially when there is a fee involved.
