Last summer, Argentine midfielder Biglia was linked with several European clubs as he called time on his career with Belgian club Anderlecht. The likes of Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Arsenal were credited with interest and it was the latter who grew extremely keen on making a move for the 28-year-old. However, Biglia decided on a move to Italian club Lazio and his agent has touched on the decision, which he says his client was happy he made. Enzo Montepaone, spoke with, saying: “When it came to Lazio, the team was looking for a balance in the midfield and he feels that he made the correct choice because of his maturity in Italian football. There were requests from others but Lazio is the right choice. The defensive midfielder has made 22 appearances in his debut season, scoring once in Serie A.
