Napoli could look to move for in-form Nurnberg striker Josip Drmic this summer if Gonzalo Higuain leaves the club, FootballDirectNews.com understands.
The 21-year-old has been highly impressive in the Bundesliga this season, scoring 16 goals and weighing in with three assists to catch the eye of a number of bigger clubs. Arsenal are rumoured to be leading the chase for his signature, though he has also been linked with Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton in what will likely be a long summer of speculation surrounding the talented Swiss international. Napoli now look set to add to that, with an Italian football insider revealing that Rafael Benitez has the player in his sights if star striker Gonzalo Higuain leaves the club. The Argentine only signed for the Serie A giants last summer, but is being targeted by Manchester City.

Drmic too has only been with his current club for one season, but may find it hard to turn down a move to a club playing Champions League football, which Napoli look likely to be doing again next season. With Nurnberg currently in the Bundesliga relegation zone, the club may not have a choice but to sell their star player if they cannot promise him top flight football next season.
