Arsenal have been told by Benfica officials that they must act quick if they want to sign former Real Madrid striker Rodrigo. Rodrigo, 23, is currently one of the most scouted players in European football, having produced some brilliant displays in the Europa League and in the Benfica’s title campaign. Gaining interest from a number of top clubs, including the likes of Real Madrid and Arsenal, the Spanish U21 international is fully expected to be subject of a summer offer. But, [football] direct news understands that English club Arsenal have been told by Benfica officials that they must act quick after learning that Real Madrid are keen to take a closer look at their former striker. The Brazilian-born striker began his career with Real Madrid, representing their C and B teams and his recent performances are thought to have gained interest from his former club. The Spanish capital club did have a buy-back clause on Rodrigo for 12m but that ended last summer, however, they still remain keen.
