Arsenal have made Juventus striker Mirko Vucinic their priority summer signing as boss Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his strike force – but the Gunners will face competition from rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Arsenal are prepared to pay 10m for the out-of-favour Juventus striker but Spurs are also keen, according to European football sources. Vucinic is surplus to requirements at the Italian club – with coach Antonio Conte preferring to use Fernando Llorente, Carlos Tevez and on-loan Southampton forward Pablo Daniel Osvaldo up front. Vucinic has struggled for game time this season and has scored just twice but is still held in high regard by many across Europe who believe his personal differences with Conte are behind his rare showings. The player’s contract is due to expire at the end of next season meaning Juventus are likely to want to sell this summer to receive a fee.
