Arsenal and Chelsea have both met with an advisor of Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic with regards to a summer move. The Croatian striker is fresh from winning a second consecutive Bundesliga title with Bayern after their 3-1 win at Hertha Berlin on Tuesday. Mandzukic has been a pivotal figure in the Bavarian’s success over the last two seasons earning admirers in Italy as well as England. Although Mandzukic perhaps does not fit the mould of a Pep Guardiola player, Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has stated that the club are keen to retain his services. That does not necessarily mean he will stay at Bayern, especially with Robert Lewandowski arriving from Borussia Dortmund in the summer. According a report in Tuttosport, Mandzukic advisor Ivan Cvjetkovic has met representatives of both Arsenal and Chelsea in London. The talks are at an early stage as both clubs put out feelers for the big forward. The Gunners and Chelsea will face competition from Italian champions Juventus if Mandzukic is eventually allowed to leave Bavaria.
