Bayern Munich will reportedly offer Arsenal and Chelsea target Mario Mandzukic a contract extension despite the imminent arrival of Borussia Dortmund hitman Robert Lewandowski. According to Tutto Mercato Web, the Bavarian giants are keen to keep hold of the 27-year-old and want to freshen up his deal, which expires in the summer of 2016. Dortmund talisman Lewandowski will be unveiled by the European Cup holders at the end of the season, when he joins on a free transfer.
The report claims Mandzukic is the subject of strong interest from Gunners boss Arsene Wenger and Chelsea chief Jose Mourinho, and that both London clubs met with his agent, Ivan Cvjetkovic, in the capital. Serie A champions Juventus are also said to be monitoring the situation with great interest and could yet enter into a bidding war, unless Bayern are successful in convincing him to prolong his stay in Munich.
The 17-goal hitman is believed to have concerns about his chances of securing regular first-team football next term. Super Sunday! Liverpool and Manchester City meet at Anfield + Swansea City face Chelsea at the Liberty Stadium for ONLY 9. 99
