Manchester City welcome back Sergio Aguero for Sunday’s trip to Anfield with the Argentine having scored in each of his last two league games against Liverpool. Aguero has not appeared for Man City since their Champions League last-16 defeat to Barcelona at the Nou Camp last month and has only made two Premier League appearances since the turn of the year. However, the Argentina international has scored on each of his last five Premier League appearances for Man City and has also breached Liverpool’s defence on each of the last two times he has faced the Merseysiders. Aguero scored in a 3-0 win for Man City at the Etihad Stadium in 2012 and then in a 2-2 draw in 2013, also in Manchester. The striker’s injury record has limited Aguero to just three appearances against Liverpool in the league for Man City, despite being in his third season at the club and has never scored at Anfield.
