AC Milan could be interested in signing Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo this summer, according to Tuttosport.
The Italian giants are likely to sell former City star Mario Balotelli in the upcoming transfer window due to continued disciplinary problems from the 23-year-old, and are in the market for replacements upfront. Despite his difficulties off the pitch, Balotelli has been a key performer for Milan on it, scoring 30 goals in 53 appearances since joining the club last January, and the Rossoneri will certainly miss his goals if he is to leave. Negredo has had a solid first season in England with City, though his form tailed off somewhat in the second half of the campaign, leading to speculation that he could be axed by manager Manuel Pellegrini in the summer.
The likes of Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan have also shown an interest in the former Sevilla man, and struggling Milan will no doubt face some stiff competition for his signature if they are to pursue him. City, meanwhile, could be set to revive their interest in Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani, pushing Negredo further down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium.
