AC Milan have seemingly ended their interest in Newcastle United keeper Tim Krul, according to Tuttomercato. Milan’s interest in Dutch keeper Krul began when Clarence Seedorf took over earlier in the season, citing a need to improve in that area and replace veteran Christian Abbiati. However, Milan have since looked elsewhere and are now willing to test their offer with the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan for talented youngster Simone Scuffet. The 17-year-old keeper has burst on to the scene this season, making himself a regular at Udinese and pushing for a World Cup place with the Italian national side. Scuffet has gained plaudits and interest from a number of top European clubs but it is expected that he wants to remain in his native homeland and follow to a similar career path to that of Gianluigi Buffon. Milan are extremely keen but they are also looking at Genoa’s Mattia Perrin as a back-up.
