Sharapova coach wants to help Robson

Maria Sharapova’s former coach Thomas Hogstedt is interested in helping British number one Laura Robson.
Robson split from her last coach Miles Maclagan earlier in the week after just four months but she is not short of offers to take over her training. The 19-year reached the last 16 at Wimbledon in June and the third round of the US Open but she has struggled since.
Hogstedt is just one of a number of interested people. The Swede helped Maria Sharapova win the 2012 French Open to complete the Russian’s career Grand Slam, adding to the US Open, Wimbledon and the Australian Open.
Hogstedt split from the 26-year-old Russian just after Wimbledon and is said to be keen to coach Robson.
Another interested party is the former head of women’s tennis at the LTA, Nigel Sears.
