Maroune Fellaini’s future at Manchester United will come under further scrutiny following the sacking of David Moyes.
Moyes’ sacking was confirmed on Tuesday morning through a brief statement from the club following intense media speculation that the former Everton boss was set to lose his job.
The Scot’s last game in charge was the 2-0 defeat at the hands of his former club at Goodison Park on Sunday which left Man United seventh in the Premier League and Fellaini, who was an unused substitute, could follow Moyes out of the Old Trafford door.
Fellaini joined Man United from Everton for a £27.5 million fee on a five-year deal, however, the Belgian has found it difficult to adapt to life at the Premier League champions and has been limited to just 18 league appearances.
It is likely that Fellaini will leave Man United this summer after a disappointing season with a new manager to be appointed following the sacking of Moyes, who took him from his previous club.
