Arsenal have been considering a bid for  the Paris Saint-Germain 20-year old left-back Lucas Digne since January but now face competition in the race to land the talented Frenchman. La Liga side Valencia have entered the race to land Digne as the Spaniards could lose regular left-back Juan Bernat as big sides queue up for the Spanish under-21 star.
The left-back position has not been the most stable at the Emirates and Arsene Wenger was hoping to put an end to any doubt with the acquisition of Digne.
However, the fact that Valencia would be willing to take the Frenchman on a loan agreement would benefit PSG, who do not want to lose their promising full-back on a permanent deal. Digne still has a long-term deal at PSG until the summer of 2018 and previous reports estimated that a bid of around 9million would be enough to sign the French youngster as PSG continue to be linked with a host of stars in the same position. Valencia’s willingness for a loan deal could benefit both parties as cash-strapped Valencia could benefit from the player’s services for a campaign while PSG could give their youngster vital first-team experience.
